Motion Design 
2025

The 2025 RISD Graphic Design MFA Biennial, titled ¹For Reference Only, explores the afterlife of design work—what remains, what is archived, and what becomes context. As the motion leader, I collaborated closely with the design team to conceptualize and pitch a dynamic motion system that reinforces the theme.

Our motion concept uses scale and accumulation as core principles. As text content grows—layered, repeated, or resized—it reflects the overwhelming presence of reference material. The increasing density of information becomes a metaphor for how meaning can be obscured or diluted, gradually lost within a sea of visual references.
